The Reds paid £85 million, the club’s record high, for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, which the German boss has been said to have said he would not buy. An overpriced kick but swallowed up both his £75m signing of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson at £65m.

Klopp spoke about this matter that the current transfer market has changed a lot. And to buy a player, the team will have to spend quite a bit of money in order to be able to join the team.

“[The transfer market has changed] a lot, obviously it has changed a lot,” Klopp said. “These things happen when you want to sign an exciting striker like Darwin. The price you have to pay”

“I mentioned many things in my life and the life after that that made it clear to me that my imagination wasn’t clear enough for a life to change quickly. That’s the way it is.”

“I forgot I said this but everyone warned me and then I thought, ‘Oh, okay, yes.’ I’ve said bad things in my life. which is one of them.”
